Successfully Signing Two Key Policies with the Gobabis Municipality
NAPWU and the Gobabis Municipality signed the Fixed Overtime Policy and the Industrial Relations Policy on 20 April 2026, after a challenging but collaborative process.
On 20 April 2026, the Namibia Public Workers Union (NAPWU) signed two important policies with the Gobabis Municipality:
- Fixed Overtime Policy
- Industrial Relations Policy
This milestone did not come easily. The process required commitment, patience and meaningful engagement from everyone involved. Through professionalism and constructive dialogue between the employer, employees and NAPWU representatives, the policies were concluded and signed.
Employees acknowledged that the journey was challenging, but with the union’s guidance and support they were able to navigate the process and reach this achievement.
